How Does it Work?

For a simple Representational State Transfer (REST) API, Nimsoft Cloud User Experience Monitor will use HTTP/HTTPS to check a specific URL and the XML or JSON data object that is returned. Using these regular monitors, you can check for the absence or presence of certain strings to identify errors in simple, single-call APIs.

For more complex interaction patterns, Nimsoft offers scripting capabilities that allow multi-step transaction monitoring and provide confirmation of more complex API responses. Using cookies and other mechanisms, Nimsoft scripts can also remember the latest state. We have yet to find an API we cannot monitor.
