Application MonitoringNimBUS for J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition)Nimsoft proactively measures performance and availability of Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), SAP, PeopleSoft and other complex application environments. Designed for application support, systems administrators and developers, Nimsoft tests for application breakdown and troubleshooting at the Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) level. Likewise, Nimsoft contains patented auto-discovery engines to model complex application environments, saving developers weeks of work uncovering each component and inherent relationships.
Proactive tests coupled with Nimsoft's passive data collection allows you to find performance issues before your customers do. If there is a problem, you can quickly correlate performance degradation to the underlying problem and speed resolution. And because performance data is stored within an embedded database, operations can provide meaningful data to QA and development regarding specific performance by load and actual usage patterns. Nimsoft's specific platform coverage includes:
More details are described below. Nimsoft monitors the performance and availability of WebSphere servers and applications operating on the WebSphere platform. Using modeling capabilities, the Nimsoft solution enables characterization and graphical visualization of the WebSphere Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application environment. Management visibility is provided through a combination of active transaction testing against the application and passive monitoring of server and component-level performance. Nimsoft monitors component-level performance to provide a complete picture of application performance and granular drill-down to the component level for problem isolation. J2EE components monitored include entity beans, JSP/Servlets (Java Server Page), ORBs, ORB interceptors, JVMs, JDBC connections and the JMS (Java Message Service). Performance metrics are collected for WebSphere cells, individual servers, and associated server components including JMS session pools, JDBC connection pools, thread pools, transaction statistics and entity bean pools. Nimsoft automatically discovers each WebSphere cell in the specified management environment, including the servers and their deployed components and services (Entity/State/Stateless Beans, JSP/Servlets, ORBs, JDBC, and JMS). The discovered WebSphere environment is then populated into a hierarchical tree structure (service model) view that reflects relationships between applications, services and components. This view provides an end-to-end view of the managed WebSphere environment and enables drill-down from top-level service problems to component-level faults. Through these capabilities, the Nimsoft product provides complete availability and system health metrics for each WebSphere cell, server, component and service. It delivers a real-time view of WebSphere application infrastructure health in the context of the business applications and processes supported on WebSphere. Nimsoft monitors the performance and availability of WebLogic servers and applications operating on the WebLogic platform. Using modeling capabilities, the Nimsoft solution enables characterization and graphical visualization of the WebLogic Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application environment. Management visibility is provided through a combination of active transaction testing against the application and passive monitoring of server and component-level performance. Nimsoft monitors component-level performance to provide a complete picture of application performance and granular drill-down to the component level for problem isolation. J2EE components monitored include EJBs, JSP/Servlets (Java Server Page), JDBC connections and the JMS (Java Message Service). Performance metrics are collected for WebLogic domains, clusters, individual servers, and associated server components including execution queues, JMS session pools, JDBC connection pools, JTA transaction statistics and EJB session pools. Nimsoft automatically discovers each WebLogic domain in the specified management environment, including the servers and their deployed components and services (EJBs, JSP/Servlets, JDBC, and JMS). The discovered WebLogic environment is then populated into a hierarchical tree structure (service model) view that reflects relationships between applications, services and components. This view provides an end-to-end view of the managed WebLogic environment and enables drill-down from top-level service problems to component-level faults. Through these capabilities, the Nimsoft product provides complete availability and system health metrics for each WebLogic domain (cluster), server, component and service. It delivers a real-time view of WebLogic application infrastructure health in the context of the business applications and processes supported on WebLogic. Nimsoft monitors the performance and availability of JBoss servers and applications operating on the JBoss platform. Using modeling and robust auto-discovery capabilities, the Nimsoft solution enables characterization and graphical visualization of the JBoss Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application environment. Performance metrics are collected for JBoss domains, clusters, individual servers, and associated server components including execution queues, JMS session pools, JDBC connection pools, JTA transaction statistics and EJB session pools. Nimsoft automatically discovers each JBoss domain in the specified management environment, including the servers and their deployed components and services (EJBs, JSP/Servlets, JDBC, and JMS). The discovered JBoss environment is then populated into a hierarchical tree structure (service model) view that reflects relationships between applications, services and components. This view provides an end-to-end view of the managed JBoss environment and enables drill-down from top-level service problems to component-level faults. Through these capabilities, the Nimsoft product provides complete availability and system health metrics for each JBoss domain (cluster), server, component and service. It delivers a real-time view of JBoss application infrastructure health in the context of the business applications and processes supported on JBoss.
