Statoil to choose NimBUS as their Enterprise Application Availability and Service Level Management Solution

Providing end-to-end response time and comprehensive service level management

Oslo, Norway - May 24, 2002 - Statoil have chosen NimBUS as their preferred solution for Application Availability and Service Level Management. It is to be used to monitor Statoil's global applications. The comprehensive capabilities of NimBUS, combined with its rapid deployment and ease of on-going support, made it the choice for Statoil. Included in the solution, is the new NimBUS Service Level Management (SLM) component to provide a comprehensive view of service levels across complex and geographically- spread applications.

“We chose the NimBUS solution and are satisfied with the simplicity and ease of use in defining, monitoring and reporting Service Levels for our business critical applications being used worldwide says Steve Cantillon, Senior Systems consultant, Statoil. NimBUS enables us to view application availability and response time from an end-user perspective throughout the world. Not only do we receive alerts when Service Levels are threatened, but we are also able to use the web based Alarm Console to find where in the end-to-end application delivery chain there is a problem or might be a problem in the future. We also see a potential to integrate the product with legacy management systems and improve our turn-around time on trouble tickets, without the need for all of our specialists to learn a new system.”

“To be selected as vendor to one of the world’s largest oil- and natural gas companies for managing their business critical applications worldwide, shows that we provide one of the most comprehensive and unique solutions available on the market today, says Dag Lund, Market Director, Nimsoft AS. We have a fast growing list of NimBUS users and taking home this prestigious contract at Statoil will position NimBUS in the top league for Service- and Application Management tools.”
