Nimsoft Delivers Stellar Performance According To Information Week

On Cloud Nine, NimBUS Soars into the Scalability Stratosphere for Large Enterprises

Redwood City, California - November 12, 2007 – Nimsoft, Inc the "Big 4" alternative for IT performance and availability monitoring solutions, announced today that the product reviewers of Information Week, a weekly print magazine that reaches 440,000 business technology professionals, has an excellent rating of NimBUS for its "performance, scalability, and stellar affordability" as a application performance management solution. Well known in the industry for their technical expertise in laboratory settings, CMP Media reviewed NimBUS as part of its rolling review of application performance management solutions. Among the solutions in the rolling review are the "Big 4" (BMC Software, CA, HP, IBM) and multiple other smaller vendors. The reviewers tested the breadth of support for existing applications; how well the product detected and reported on performance problems; how well the architecture supports distributed application performance monitoring; and whether the software supported a tiered architecture with native high availability and failover capabilities. They also tested how well the solution detected true performance issues and seamless integration with the surrounding environment.

The reviewers Michael Biddick and Chris Hurt acknowledged that businesses are typically forced to choose between costly enterprise-class software from big vendors or work with smaller vendors that have limited scalability as their environment grows. NimBUS was the first APM product that they have reviewed that offered customers the enterprise class scalability and sophistication to manage the performance of applications at a cost and ease of use normally associated with point solutions. They noted that NimBUS was far less expensive in terms of initial purchase, implementation costs and ongoing administration. In addition, they confirmed the product was easy to set up and configure. NimBUS was the only product reviewed to date that automatically builds Web-based dashboards and reports to display collected performance data.
