Business Service Dashboards for Managed Service Providers

Nimsoft offers dashboards and reporting capabilities that ensure Managed Service Providers and clients alike get the information and insights they need, when they need them.

With a product line that features the broadest and deepest infrastructure coverage, Nimsoft makes it possible to gather practically any type of IT and business data. By offering a range of sophisticated capabilities for customization, graphical reporting, online portals, and access control, the NimBUS product line enables Managed Service Providers to fully leverage the comprehensive data being gathered.

With NimBUS, Managed Service Providers and their clients can get...

  • Real-time status updates on the infrastructure and business services monitored.

  • Dashboards that can be customized to feature all vital metrics, such as help desk call statistics, application performance metrics, IT resource utilization, and more—all from a single view.

  • Web-enabled reports and dashboards that make it easy for all authorized clients and Managed Service Provider staff to get the insights they need—any time they need them.

The NimBUS dashboard below (click thumbnail to view a larger image) is an example of what can be created and shared as a client portal. These types of reports help demonstrate to customers that their Managed Service Provider is closely watching their critical servers and services.

Customization Capabilities

NimBUS executive and business dashboards do not force Managed Service Providers to operate from a single, static interface.  With NimBUS, Managed Service Providers can build dashboards that suit personal preferences and achieve the desired management objectives. This flexibility is made possible with the NimBUS Dashboard Design Toolkit.  Using the toolkit is much like using Microsoft PowerPoint. The toolkit contains an assortment of alert objects, meters and graph objects, text objects (active and inactive), picture objects, and much more.

Performance Reporting

NimBUS provides Web-based historical reporting for thousands of data metrics collected by NimBUS probes, gateways, and adapters.  Performance data is automatically consolidated and archived into a backend SQL Server database.  Once there, the NimBUS report generation wizard can be used to produce client-accessible Web reports in a matter of minutes.  Short and long term performance reports are ideal for capacity planning, load balancing, and preempting degrading conditions.  NimBUS reporting periods can be based on a range of intervals, including last 24 hours, last week, last month, prior weeks, prior months, and prior quarters.

NimBUS ‘stacked’ performance reports can display individual and total measurements (the example reports below shows application transaction response times; daily trend and weekly).

NimBUS SLA Compliance Monitoring and Reporting Solution

NimBUS makes it fast and efficient for Managed Service Providers to do SLA compliance monitoring and reporting. NimBUS products offer automated data analysis, compliance calculation, and report generation—enabling Managed Service Providers and their clients to get the timely insights they need. With NimBUS, verbal and written SLAs can be easily transposed into NimBUS SLA templates for automated compliance calculation. Then, NimBUS can generate real-time, Web-based compliance reports that feature breach forecast indicators.

NimBUS provides a graphical and text-based representation of IT infrastructure performance contrasted against service level commitments.  These reports can be both historical, recapping compliance during prior periods, and forward looking, revealing the likelihood of achieving service level compliance during the current measurement period.  SLA periods may be defined in day, week, or month increments.
