Encryption provides excellent defense against data breaches and is necessary to provide compliance to a growing array of data protection laws.
This service enables IT administrators to remotely enforce data encryption on PCs and data storage devices plugged into them. However, encryption alone cannot protect data if the password is known, learned or stolen. Beachhead tools uniquely provide protection beyond just encryption including centralized "access control" to prevent access to sensitive PC, flash, or optical disk data - even when the password is compromised.
Additionally, offline policies detect end-user behaviors that are inconsistent with expected norms and will respond automatically with pre-determined counter-measure(s) including denial of data access by wiping the local encryption key. If the threat of data compromise is removed the administrator can restore the key so that the data is again accessible to the user.
