Gary Read
President and CEO

A 20-year high-tech industry veteran, Gary Read founded Converse Software in 2002 and rapidly built a global reseller organization successfully delivering cost-effective service-level management solutions. In 2004, Converse Software merged with Norway-based Nimbus Software and created Nimsoft, where Gary now spearheads the world-wide operation from its base in Silicon Valley, CA. Mr. Read served previously as VP Marketing at BMC Software and VP Sales & Marketing at RiverSoft, being instrumental in the successful IPO of RiverSoft and the eventual acquisition by Micromuse.

Anders GrindlandAnders Grindland
CTO, Chairman of the Board

Anders Grindland is an established entrepreneur in the software industry in Norway. He started his career at Norsk Data as a developer and development manager, and subsequently served as a systems management product architect at Dolphin Server Technology. Mr. Grindland was founder, Chairman and Vice President of R D at Sysnet, one of the early leaders of management software for client server systems. Later in 1994, Mr. Grindland sold Sysnet to Boole Babbage and founded Nimbus Software in 1998.

Mark HarrisMark Harris
Chief Financial Officer

Before joining Nimsoft, Mark Harris was CFO of Miami-based DSLi, a VoIP company, where he was responsible for the funding and financial management of operations that provided a seven-fold growth in revenues. Previously, as CFO of Riversoft Plc, a company providing network management software solutions, Harris led one of the fastest Initial Public Offerings in the history of the London Stock Exchange, raising $160m.  During his time at Riversoft, the 20-person company grew to over 300 employees, raised four rounds of venture capital funding and secured financing led by industry partners Cisco, Intel and Hewlett-Packard. Prior to joining Riversoft Harris held a number of financial management positions at Credit Suisse First Boston and Salomon Smith Barney.  Harris was top of his graduating class and has a First Class Honors Degree in Mathematics. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London, where he spent six years with Deloitte & Touche providing audit, corporate and accounting services to a varied portfolio of private and public companies.

Dag LundDag Lund
Vice President of Research & Development

A co-founder of Nimsoft, Dag Lund brings more than 20 years experience in the computer industry, spanning from hardware and software development, to marketing and business development assignments in companies such as The Royal Norwegian Airforce, Norsk Data, Dolphin Server Technology, Sysnet and Boole Babbage. Mr. Lund has a broad international background, working at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in San Francisco, California, with research and technology transfers between the US and Norway. Mr. Lund holds several engineering and marketing degrees from the University of Oslo, Norwegian School of Marketing, as well as Executive Management Programs at Stanford University, BI School of Management, and the University of California at Berkeley.

Mark RivingtonMark Rivington
Vice President of Product Management

Mark Rivington has deep knowledge of the systems and network management vendor space having served in numerous technical and marketing roles at key software organizations over the last twenty years. At Candle, Boole & Babbage, BMC and Riversoft, Mark gathered significant understanding of how management software can be developed and deployed to maximize customer returns in terms of business benefit. In his current role this understanding helps drive the direction of the Nimsoft technology towards maximum customer benefit.

Tim BisleyTim Bisley
Vice President of EMEA

Tim Bisley brings strength in understanding the needs of mid-market customers throughout the EMEA region. Bisley leads Nimsoft’s EMEA sales operation with offices in the UK, Norway, Germany and Spain. Previously, Bisley was vice president EMEA of the Corporate Sales Division at HP Software, where he was responsible for developing the mid-market and support services sales organizations, a $120 million business.  Bisley joined HP when the company acquired Mercury Interactive, a global, enterprise-software- and-services company and the world leader in Business Technology Optimization. There he successfully drove sales in the EMEA division from $5 million to $100 million in just six years.

John SmithJohn Smith
Vice President of Strategy

John Smith is responsible for corporate and product strategy at Nimsoft. He joined the Nimsoft executive team when Indicative merged with Nimsoft. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the areas of service management, network and systems management and operational support systems (OSS). In 2003, Smith founded Indicative Software, which was recognized as a leader in business service management. Before Indicative, Smith was co-founder and joint general manager of the Firehunter service management business at Agilent Technologies, which generated more than $50 million in revenue. At HP, he was a member of the management team that started the OpenView business, where he was instrumental in streamlining the product delivery lifecycle, negotiating multimillion-dollar OEM relationships and bringing new products to market. Smith has a bachelor of science in computer science and a master’s in business administration from Colorado State University.

Brian JamesBrian James
Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

James has more than 19 years of experience in enterprise software from marketing to business development and product management. His most recent position was vice president of marketing at Cittio, where he repositioned and grew the company through innovative product and service offerings. Previously, James led global campaigns at Mercury Interactive (now HP) which he joined through its acquisition of Kintana. At Kintana, James repositioned the products and the company around IT governance, driving the company’s growth to more $100 million and creating a central pillar for Mercury’s Business Technology Optimization strategy. James earned a MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, an MEM from the McCormick School of Engineering, and a BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
