Territory Development Representative - Redwood City, CA
This position is the first point of contact for a Nimsoft prospect. The TDR has primary responsibilities for inbound sales inquiries and initial lead qualification as well as outbound Territory Development campaigns in target accounts. The position reports to the Territory Development Manager and is required to work effectively with both inside Sales reps and Field Sales Reps.
- Responsible for consistently meeting sales activity metrics on a weekly basis
- Responsible for qualifying all assigned inbound leads provided by marketing campaigns.
- Follow up on inbound leads in a timely manner to drive sales opportunities
- Responsible for uncovering additional Nimsoft product opportunities through outbound targeted prospecting for FAEs and CARs
- Ensure strong client/prospect communication and follow-up by documenting all designated calls-to-action, follow-up dates, complete profile information, lead source, and prospect interaction in SFDC
- Build and manage pipeline of lead opportunities sufficient to consistently meet and exceed monthly quarterly and annual quota objectives
- Utilize tools available for tracking and maximizing opportunity within territory (ie, genius, zoom info etc…)
- Utilize consultative selling approach to qualify opportunities per Nimsoft qualification criteria
- Schedule demos for qualified opportunities with qualification criteria
- Manage time effectively on a daily basis in order to meet daily, weekly metrics
- Provide sales administrative support as needed for FAEs (prospect communication, quotes, appointment setting etc…)
- Qualify opportunities to the right level and turn over to appropriate sales contact
- Work effectively within a team environment to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success
- Provide feed back to marketing on quality of inquiries/leads obtained through various marketing/sales vehicles.
- Work within the specified hours of assigned territory to maximize productivity
- Gain and maintain product and competitive knowledge utilizing Nimsoft resources including, but not limited to organized training, lunch and learns, internal technical contacts and management team.
- Participate in all meetings, and company sponsored sales events as sanctioned by management team
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a Territory Development professional
- Experience qualifying into a complex, competitive marketplace with success
- Understanding of consultative sales process
- Track record of success working within a teamed Field and Inside sales model
- 3 plus years territory development experience in high tech software sales
- College Degree required/preferred
- Exemplary communication skills, coaching skills, and good business judgment are required
- A self-starter with a track record of successful experience selling to multiple executive levels within an organization
- Minimum of 3 years successful experience selling to CIO and Director of IT levels
- Strong skills including:
- Pre-call planning
- Opportunity qualification and objection handling
- Call structure and control
- Time and territory management
- Proven track record achieving goal in an environment where data accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
- Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
- The highest level of integrity
