Director of Product Marketing - Redwood City, CA

As the director of product marketing for Nimsoft, you will define the go-to-market strategy, positioning, pricing, and packaging for award-winning Nimsoft products. The director of product marketing will report to the vice president of world-wide marketing.

The director of product marketing will work with a team of product marketers to launch products, ensure the sales force is prepared and equipped to sell existing and new products.  Additionally, product marketers will collect and deliver customer and internal feedback on product improvements to the product management organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own product positioning, value propositions and content for multiple audiences along with sales collateral, case studies, demonstrations, etc.,
  • Define and own the products go-to-market strategy and campaigns covering demand generation, awareness-building and partners.
  • Work with US and EMEA programs personnel to deliver content, events, webinars, e-mail campaigns, tradeshows and seminars that drive awareness of Nimsoft offerings and revenue.
  • Manage day-to-day communication around the product including competitive analysis, alerts and analyst interactions.
  • Ensure smooth evolution of compelling product features and messaging.
  • Serve as the primary knowledge source to sales, sales engineering and programs personnel
  • Understand the overall market landscape and dynamics and communicate competitive threats
  • Have a crisp understanding what customers will pay for and develop outstanding relationships with the sales and product management teams to evangelize the product vision, its competitive differentiators, and the tangible benefits customers realize when they use the product.
  • Pitch influencers and decision makers at all levels of Fortune 100 companies, from system administrators to CIOs

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to systematically plan, deliver, and communicate winning positioning and go-to-market campaigns
  • 7+ years of enterprise software industry experience in a product marketing role
  • Master of effective, systematic communication with internal and external audiences, regardless of their position in the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT operations (e.g., server or network management, monitoring, etc.).
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, MBA desired
